GRT Yamaha Official WorldSSP Team's Lucas Mahias leaves Round 4 of the 2018 Supersport World Championship at Assen still leading the overall standings after a strong ride to fourth, although he was disappointed not to be able to fight for the race win on Sunday. His teammate Federico Caricasulo was pushing as hard as he could during the race before contact with another rider saw him crash out while battling in the leading group. In the European Supersport Cup, Alfonso Coppola made a strong start but faded towards the end of the race to finish in 20th place....

Local hero Michael van der Mark gave the Pata Yamaha Official WorldSBK Team and the passionate Dutch fans something to celebrate on Sunday at Round 4 of the 2018 Motul FIM Superbike World Championship. After finishing Saturday's Race 1 in second place, he stormed to another podium in Race 2, crossing the line in third to record his best ever WorldSBK weekend in terms of results. In contrast, his teammate Alex Lowes, who had shown excellent pace all weekend, unfortunately, struggled with front-end grip during Race 2. Displaying his trademark fighting spirit, he was battling hard before he crashed at the Geert Timmer chicane on lap 13 but courageously remounted and rejoined the race in last, battling back superbly in the final laps and recovering to finish in 14th place....

A valiant end to an intense and dramatic 41st running of the 24 Heures Motos, round two of the FIM EWC World Championship, saw the GMT94 Yamaha Official EWC Team recover from two crashes and two costly pit-stops for an awe-inspiring top-10 finish. As one of the most demanding races in the world, it didn't come without issues for the Pole sitters YART Yamaha Official EWC. After taking over the lead on lap 153, YART's Marvin Fritz had an enormous crash that saw his YZF-R1 tumble end-over-end down the circuit, causing damage that cost the team 40 minutes and 33-Laps, and eventually forced a decision to regrettably retire from the race....

An eventful Q2 session at the Circuit of The Americas (COTA) this afternoon saw Movistar Yamaha MotoGP's Maverick Viñales secure second place on the grid for the Grand Prix of The Americas. However, he is set to gain a starting position for the race tomorrow, as Race Direction has decided to move Marc Marquez back three spots, as a penalty for compromising one of Viñales' hot laps. Valentino Rossi was also flashing various red sectors and only just missed out on a place on the front row. He will start tomorrow's race from fifth position....

Yamaha R3 bLU cRU Challenge rider Galang Hendra Pratama ended Saturday's qualifying in Assen at Round 2 of the 2018 FIM Supersport 300 Championship as the leading Yamaha after setting a 1:52.184 in SP2 to end the session in 10th. Unfortunately, he was penalised for riding slowly on the racing line and will receive a three-place grid penalty for Sunday's race, meaning he will start from 13th on the grid. The other four bLU cRU rider's took part in SP1, with Luca Bernardi starting Sunday's race from 24th, Dennis Koopman will line up in 25th, Joep Overbeeke 29th, and Hugo de Cancellis 32nd....

The GRT Yamaha Official WorldSSP Team fought back strongly on Saturday after a tricky opening day at Round 4 of the 2018 FIM Supersport World Championship in Assen. Championship leader, Lucas Mahias, managed to put his setup woes from Friday behind him to qualify second on the grid for Sunday's race and maintain his 100% front-row start record in 2018. Federico Caricasulo also did not enjoy the best Friday at the TT Circuit Assen but, like his teammate, made a step on Saturday and qualified in seventh. European Supersport Cup rider Alfonso Coppola continued to make good progress on Saturday, showing constant improvement to qualify in 22nd....

Pata Yamaha Official WorldSBK Team's Michael van der Mark sent the Dutch fans wild at a hot and sunny Assen on Saturday during Race 1 at Round 4 of the WorldSBK Championship. Riding at his home round, he recovered from a tricky SP2 to charge from seventh on the grid to secure his second podium of the season after a sensational ride at the TT Circuit Assen. It was a more of a mixed day for his teammate Alex Lowes. The British rider secured his maiden WorldSBK pole position after a stunning lap in SP2 but when the lights went out for Race 1, after a great start, it became obvious something was not right. Unfortunately, through no fault of his own, the wrong front tyre had been fitted to his R1 on the grid, which meant that after five laps he simply had no grip. Despite this, he battled bravely to bring his Pata Yamaha R1 home in a creditable 12th place....

At Round 2 of the 2018 Supersport 300 World Championship in Assen, local hero Dennis Koopman secured the first point of the season for the Yamaha R3 bLU cRU Challenge riders after battling to a superb 15th-place finish. Hugo de Cancellis stormed from 32nd on the grid to finish in 16th, with Joep Overbeeke - also riding at his home round - crossing the line in 20th after fighting through the field from 29th on the grid. Galang Hendra Pratama showed incredible pace all weekend and was the only bLU cRU rider to make it through to SP2 where he set the 10th best time. Unfortunately, he crashed out during the race while battling in the leading group, thankfully escaping any major injury. Luca Bernardi also impressed throughout the weekend and qualified in 24th but was forced to retire during the race on lap 4 due to a technical issue....

Blistering sunshine at the Circuit of The Americas (COTA), with blue sky as far as the eye could see, was an omen for a faultless race by Movistar Yamaha MotoGP's Maverick Viñales and Valentino Rossi. The pair had a rather lonely ride at the Grand Prix of The Americas, securing second and fourth place respectively....
